CoSentry enhances cloud services reach courtesy of Cox Business

CoSentry, a regional data center and cloud service provider, is going to boost the growth of its Secure Cloud Services network by adding Cox Business' fiber facilities into its mix.

The Secure Cloud Services network is already built out and supporting CoSentry customers in not only Omaha, Neb., but also in Kansas City, Mo., Sioux Falls, S.D., and Papillion, Neb.

CoSentry MDCUnder the terms of the agreement, Cox Business will install its network infrastructure, which includes multiple fibers, and a 10 Gbps match node Internet service delivered over redundant protected access and egress facilities. With these facilities in place, CoSentry will be able to provide its customers a number of Cox Business services.

Dan Cullen, vice president and general manager for CoSentry's Central region operations, said "We are experiencing high growth in our Secure Cloud Services offering as well as our Collocation business and it is imperative that we deliver stable, high speed network services to support this demand."

Cullen added that the other benefit of the Cox arrangement is that it enables it "to plan ahead and deliver significant internet bandwidth on demand."
