Cox Business closes in on $2B of business services revenue

Cox Business is close to reaching its goal of attaining $2 billion in revenue in 2015.  In an interview with Light Reading, Hyman Sukiennik, vice president of sales and operations at Cox Business said that it is very close to meeting that goal and added that 2016 is shaping up to be an even stronger year for the company.

Sukiennik noted that about 50 percent of Cox's business services revenue comes from small businesses. "We have mastered a set of products and services that work well for that space," he said.

Interestingly, Cox Business is expanding into the small cell arena. Last month the company announced a turnkey service that it said will enable wireless operators to deploy small cells to extend coverage and capacity.

Set on extending service into hard-to-reach areas, Cox Business' small cell service is helping wireless operators decrease network overload in high volume locations in order to provide a better data service experience for businesses and consumers.

Existing and new mobile operator wholesale customers have three outdoor options for the small cell solution: strand mount, pole mount and ground cabinet.
