Cross River Fiber adds telecom veterans Mike Sevret, Jim Martini

Cross River Fiber, an emerging dark fiber provider based in New Jersey, has added Mike Sevret and Jim Martini to its growing management team.

Sevret, who comes to the CLEC from Optimum Lightpath where he served as that provider's Regional VP of Sales, will become Cross River Fiber's EVP and Chief Strategy Officer. Martini, the Chief Financial Officer of 4Connections LLC, a metro dark fiber provider, will serve as Chief Financial Officer.

While both are new to the Cross River Fiber team, the two executives are very familiar with the CLEC's leader Vincenzo Clemente, president and CEO of Cross River Fiber. Both of them come from the former 4Connections LLC, which Optimum Lightpath purchased in 2008.

Like 4Connections, the goal of Cross River Fiber is also centered on providing dark fiber and construction services to New Jersey-based private and public sector clients. Over the past two years, the state has seen a surge in demand from financial services companies, government, education, and healthcare for fiber-based network services.

"As we build deeper into the market, I am thrilled to reunite with Mike Sevret and Jim Martini who have proven their ability to understand the needs of customers and effectively deliver solutions to fulfill them," said Vincenzo Clemente, President and CEO of Cross River Fiber, in a release. "Both Mike and Jim will play integral roles in the future growth of Cross River Fiber."
