Ethernet on its way to the WAN

FierceTelecom just published a report on global Ethernet interconnection, so let's keep the conversation going: Network World has a piece about wide area network Ethernet services, a concept that might have seemed unthinkable at the beginning of this decade. ATM and other technologies had their chance, but Ethernet actually has become the best multi-tool in a network operator's toolbox, pretty ironic given how dead-set against Ethernet some of these companies were just 10 years ago.
