FCC gears up for a host of new wireless spectrum auctions

With the exception of last fall's $300 million Mobility Fund auction, the FCC has not conducted a large spectrum auction since the 700 MHz spectrum auction held in 2007. However, according to a new report from FierceWireless, the FCC will conduct a series of auctions that could free up as much as 200 MHz of spectrum, depending upon how many TV broadcasters participate in the FCC's incentive auctions scheduled to begin next year. Take a look at the new spectrum auctions guide.
