FCC overhaul in sight for 2008?

Federal Communications Chairman Kevin Martin has been under fire of late from the cable TV industry and elsewhere, and it is looking more likely that the FCC will be the subject of legislative investigation and review by Democrats in 2008. Just within the last week, Sen. John Dingell (D-Mich.) proposed an oversight committee to review FCC procedures, Martin fired back defending the agency and Sen. Daniel Inouye (D.-Hawaii) and Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D.-W.Va.) pledged to focus on FCC process reviews in the coming year.
