FiberLight extends off-net network reach through agreement with Global Capacity
FiberLight's new agreement to leverage Global Capacity's One Marketplace Access Exchange illustrates a need to extend its own services to other carriers and provide its customers with necessary off-net connections.
By becoming part of Global Capacity's One Marketplace Access Exchange, FiberLight can get quicker automated pricing, tools that will enable it to more efficiently respond to customer's needs and cut down back office ordering and provisioning costs.
What's also significant for FiberLight is that their services will be available to reach an even broader audience and revenue opportunities. On average, Global Capacity said that its One Marketplace users generate over 100,000 automated quotes per month for access solutions.
In exchange for its services, FiberLight will provide Global Capacity with 400 miles of fiber, which will enhance the One Marketplace Access Exchange's on-net connectivity capabilities.
While FiberLight been aggressively expanding its respective fiber network in various regions in recent years, Ben Edmond, President of Sales & Marketing, said "Global Capacity's One Marketplace Access Exchange allows us to migrate from an inefficient manual pricing process that was dependent on our own information and supplier relationships to now utilizing an automated process that leverages access to an entire marketplace of knowledge about network location and pricing."
