Frontier names John Lass president of its Central region

Frontier's (NYSE: FTR) appointment of John Lass as President of its Central Region is yet another appointment in its ongoing reorganization following its purchase of Verizon's (NYSE: VZ) rural lines.

Comprising Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio and Wisconsin, Frontier's Central Region is the service provider's largest operation with about 1.1 million customers.

Lass' role may be new, but he's not a stranger to integrating acquisitions.

Before Frontier completed its acquisition of Verizon's rural lines, he was the Senior Vice President/General Manager of the company's former Central Region. Earlier, Lass served as Frontier's VP of Integration where managed everything related to any acquired property including the former Commonwealth Telephone properties in Pennsylvania and other acquisitions.

Maggie Wilderotter, Chairman and CEO, said that "his experience in integrating new acquisitions made him the natural choice to lead Frontier's largest region."
