House committee begins FCC review

The House of Representatives Energy & Commerce Committee has launched its review of the Federal Communications Commission's regulatory procedures and practices. FCC Chairman Kevin Martin has drawn criticism from several in Congress for his methods, management style and lack of effective communication with other members of the FCC.

Committee members sent a letter to Martin in Las Vegas, where he was speaking at the International Consumer Electronics Show (see story above), notifying him of the investigation's launch.
