IIA announces Broadband Fact Book

Tools

As the debate over a national broadband strategy continues, the Internet Innovation Alliance, one of many groups that spoke up in the last year in favor of such an idea, has announced the availability of an online "Broadband Facts Book." The IIA aims to make the resource the most comprehensive collection of broadband adoption and traffic information around, as well as a tool for pointing out how a national broadband strategy can help a variety of industries and sectors. One might argue that not all the information included is necessarily factual, since much of it is based on a variety of broadband market research coming from various sources, including community contributions, and conflicting information seems possible. Still, it looks like an information-rich resource on broadband, and hopefully some of the people making decisions about national broadband policy actually will pay a visit.
