Integra brings fiber into 8 of Telx's data centers

lntegra is expanding its reach into the data-center community, announcing that its services will be available at eight of Telx's data centers.

Because it's a symbiotic relationship, Integra will also be able to use Telx's colocation and interconnection services and Telx's high-power-density space to serve both new and existing clients.

Likewise, existing and new Telx customers will be able to get access to Integra's set of wholesale and retail products, including Internet, wavelength services, Ethernet and IP/MPLS VPN.

Today, Telx supports Integra's customers in all four of its California data centers, as well as in strategically located data centers in Portland, Seattle, Phoenix and New York City.

Telx data-center facilities feature Integra's network services out of eight locations: LOS1 in downtown Los Angeles; NYC2 in New York City; PRT1 in Hillsboro, Ore.; SFR1 in San Francisco; SCL1 in Santa Clara, Calif.; SCL2 in Santa Clara, Calif.; SEA1 in Tukwila, Wash.; and PHX1 in Phoenix.

This new pact reflects the growth Integra has seen in its data-center business over the past year, growth that has been driven by connecting its fiber network and service to Telx and other data-center providers in the Western U.S. and New York City.

In April, Integra announced that since October 2013 it had connected 30 data-center facilities to its fiber network, taking its total on-net data-center footprint to 92. This was almost a 50 percent increase from the 62 data centers it had connected to its fiber network in September 2013.
