Integra enhances larger business focus by naming Trent Anderson VP of Enterprise Sales

Integra Telecom's appointment of 20-year telecom veteran Trent Anderson as vice president of enterprise sales illustrates the company's dedication to extending its presence in the larger business market.

Anderson's first order of business in his new role will be to double the CLEC's sales force by the end of 2011 to ramp up its sales of fiber-based services to larger businesses that have complex and specialized needs.

With its integration of the former Electric Lightwave and Eschelon behind it, Integra has put a plan in place to expand its fiber network to provide larger customers a set of Ethernet and VPN services in addition to emerging IP-based voice services like SIP trunking and cloud services.

In 2011, Integra plans to spend $100 million on expanding its fiber network to not only serve larger enterprise customers, but also expand the availability of Ethernet over Copper (EoC) and sales of wholesale fiber-based services to wireless operators.

Since joining Integra Telecom in 1999, Anderson has served in various executive roles including regional operations, product development, and marketing.
