Integra extends fiber reach to 92 data centers

Integra continues to find a strong role in the data center market, announcing that it has connected 30 facilities since October 2013, bringing its total on-net data center footprint to 92.

Driven by what it says is the desire from enterprise and wholesale customers for high-bandwidth, low-latency fiber connectivity to critical sites, this is almost a 50 percent increase from the 62 data centers it had connected to its fiber network in September 2013.

The service provider's data centers are located throughout Integra's metro fiber markets with a strong concentration in Phoenix and the California Bay Area. Both of these areas have been key areas of growth for Integra.

Complementing these efforts are a newly built long-haul fiber route that connects Salt Lake City with northern California and expanded Ethernet over Copper (EoC) access.

Besides fiber connectivity, wholesale and retail, these sites also can get access to its array of Internet, wavelength services, Ethernet and IP/MPLS VPN. Tenants that reside at these centers also can use its business continuity/disaster recovery (BCDR) applications.
