Integra names new president of business services and VP for mid-market, channel units

Integra is making new executive appointments in its Integra Business and Electric Lightwave units, two moves that are part of the ongoing realignment of its top management ranks as it looks to advance into larger enterprise business service accounts.

Taking the role of president of Integra Business is Christopher Camut, who brings his experience in communications software and technology to the mid-market sector. Camut comes to Integra from Boulder-based infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider Ajubeo, where he served as CEO.

Scot Oslund is assuming the role as VP premier channel for Electric Lightwave. Before arriving at Electric Lightwave, the 30-year telecom veteran led wholesale and carrier sales at tw telecom, now Level 3 Communications.

Oslund will report to Dan Stoll, who was named president of Electric Lightwave in January after 15 years with Integra, where he most recently served as the company's senior vice president of strategy and development.

Besides hiring Camut and Oslund, Integra has promoted Jason Koenders to the newly formed office of chief technology officer. In his new role, Koenders assumes leadership of Integra's product development organization, overseeing the company's expanding portfolio of managed and cloud services and networking solutions as well as innovations in fiber-based products that tap the vast resources of the company's fiber infrastructure.

These new appointments come after Integra revamped the Electric Lightwave brand that is focused on providing services to both mid-sized and large enterprise companies.

Electric Lightwave, a service provider that Integra purchased in 2006, focuses on providing service to its largest enterprise customers, including government and education organizations, and to its growing base of wholesale service provider customers in the wireless segment. This group will also use and expand Integra's growing set of long-haul and metro fiber assets located in the western U.S. to support this segment.

While Integra continues to realign its top management ranks, it still has not named a permanent CEO replacement. Robert Guth took over the company as interim CEO and president last September after Kevin O'Hara, who had served as CEO since 2011, left the company for undisclosed reasons.
