ISPs lose traffic shaping battle with Bell Canada
ISPs in Canada who use Bell Canada's network lost a battle to stop the telco from throttling P2P traffic. The Canadian Radio and Telecommunications Commission for now denied a request from the Canadian Association of Internet Providers for an injunction against Bell. The CRTC said the group didn't show how its members were hurt by the practice. The CRTC said a final decision would come soon.
The ISPs say Bell aggressive traffic shaping is hurting their clients by downgrading service "beyond recognition."
