JDSU to boost test holdings with Circadiant

Although optical components and test company JDS Uniphase was recently jilted by its CEO, Kevin Kennedy, who left the firm for Avaya, the company hasn't been stuck in place. JDSU just announced the acquisition of network signal test vendor Circadiant Systems. It's the second test-related acquisition by JDSU this year, the first being its deal to buy Westover Scientific in January 2008. JDSU's Communications Test and Measurement business accounts for 43 percent of the company's revenue.
