Having served as a director since it became an independent company when Infineon sold off its wireline business to Golden Gate Capital in August 2009, Artusi is hardly a stranger to the company.

He will replace Lantiq's first CEO Christian Wolff, who will remain on the company's board.

Artusi brings over 30 years of semiconductor and communications industry experience to his new role at Lantiq, including holding CEO roles at both Silicon Laboratories and Conexant Systems where he still maintains a board seat.
