Level 3 CEO compensation hits$10.7 million
Level 3 Communications CEO James Crowe received compensation for 2007 totaling about $10.7 million, up from about $8.7 million in 2006. Level 3 had a dismal year, struggling through M&A integration and overall poor financial performance to the point where its stock value declined more than 60 percent during 2007. Level 3 had already announced that because of this, executives would not be getting salary bonuses. However, on top of his $790,385 salary, Crowe did receive stock and options awards from the company's board of directors that totaled about $9.8 million.

They need to redirect some of those monetary resources into their customer service organization because I have seen better service at White Castle at 4 in the morning. Level3 isn't even awake. Even if they put just 1 million into their customer support, they might keep me as a new customer. There's no one there @ Level3 to answer or help anyone. It takes them 2 or 3 days to respond and then they do it at 4AM when you're sleeping.
