Lightyear turns to inetwork for VoIP E911 needs

Lightyear Network Solutions (OTC BB: LYNS.OB), a competitive service provider, is leveraging inetwork's Enhanced 911 call routing service.

Brian Garrison, Lightyear's Vice President of Strategic Planning and Marketing, said the partnership with inetwork, a specialist service provider that works with a host of CLECs and over the top providers like Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) and Skype, will allow it to streamline the management of its E911 service.

"inetwork's robust and user-friendly customer portal makes it easy for us to provision and manage E911 service," Garrison said in a release about the agreement. "inetwork also offers us increased flexibility and a more competitive rate, which allows us to deliver a better product to our customers."

This means that Lightyear, which leverages its own VoIP network and works with other major carrier partners like CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL), Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and XO Communications to extend its service reach, can better focus on providing service to its consumer and business customers.
