Matt Bross re-emerges as chairman, CEO of Compass-EOS

Matt Bross has begun his latest adventure, taking on the chairman and CEO role at Compass-EOS, a next-gen router and icPhotonics vendor.

Bross is taking over the CEO role from Gadi Bahat, who is leaving the company to "pursue new challenges," the company said. Compass-EOS said he is also replacing current chairman Haim Shani, "who will remain as a board member of Compass-EOS, as he begins managing his newly established technology private equity fund."

The telecom veteran comes to Compass-EOS with plenty of telecom industry experience, serving in CTO roles at Huawei, BT (NYSE: BT) and Williams Communications, now Level 3 Communications (NYSE: LVLT).

During his tenure at BT, he was a key figure in the telco's 21st Century Network project. Later at Huawei he drove the Chinese vendor's technology direction and established a greater foothold with service providers outside of the company's native China market.

According to the company, Bross will oversee the company from its U.S. and Israel offices.
