MSF announces details for GMI 2008

Tools

The MultiService Forum has announced further details for its Global MSF Interoperability event (GMI 2008) set to take place next month. The massive interoperability test involving five carrier test beds on three different continents has been in the works for several months, and the GMI events have become key events on the industry's plugfest calendar. Telecommunications reported that the MSF said this week that six testing scenarios during the event will focus on, "IMS support for IPTV in a multi-vendor NGN environment by drilling down on IPTV tests and standards assessment, end-to-end session control, end-to-end QoS, locations-based services, service-oriented architecture and management." The GMI 2008 test site hosts include Verizon, NCS and UNH-IOL in the U.S., BT/Vodafone in Europe and China Mobile in Asia.
