Mushroom tweaks broadband bonding idea

New equipment vendor Mushroom Networks has arrived on the scene with a solution that already offers a fairly distinct twist on the relatively new capability of multi-technology broadband bonding, first brought to U.S. shores by Sharedband Networks. The company's Truffle product is a broadband bonding network appliance (BBNA-new acronym alert) that is deployed only at the customer premises. It uses IP to perform network layer bonding, rather than using the IEEE 802.3ah standard.  The most notable distinction is that the Truffle solution is only a CPE solution, and doesn't require investment in another box or technology deeper into the network.
