Neustar taps telecom veteran John Devolites to head up data services

Neustar has named John A. Devolites, a telecom veteran who has three decades of data analytics experience, as vice president of Data Services.

Reporting directly to SVP Data Solutions Steve Edwards, Devolites will be charged with overseeing the product management teams responsible for Neustar's Order Management Services (OMS) and Addressing and Routing Services and supporting the company's Information Services and Analytics strategy.

In addition, Devolites will support Neustar's work in helping the telecom industry migrate the PSTN to Internet protocol (IP) networks.

Before coming to Neustar, Devolites was the general manager at TEOCO Corporation, where he designed and led strategic growth efforts, developed and launched new products, negotiated contracts with major carriers and managed international acquisitions.

Earlier, he served as group president for Telcordia Technologies and served as its board member to the FCC's Network Reliability and Interoperability Council (NRIC).

Devolites' experience will come in handy as the company looks to further build out its analytics capabilities. In 2011, Neustar added on-demand information and analytics services, including caller ID, by acquiring TARGUSinfo.
