NSN cutting more jobs, near completion of restructuring

Nokia Siemens Networks is taking steps to cut about 1,250 jobs in Finland and Germany as its nears the conclusion of an ongoing restructuring program that ultimately will result in a workforce reduction of 10 percent to 15 percent. NSN said it is intent on putting this chapter of corporate challenges behind it. However, some might say that the telecom industry's vendor giants have not even yet begun to feel carrier capex reductions that could extend into 2009.
