Offerhaus takes CEO reins at iBasis

Tools

Leadership is shifting at KPN-owned voice provider iBasis as interim CEO John van Vianen has been replaced by Willem Offerhaus. Formerly Vice President of Sales for KPN subsidiary Getronics, Offerhaus is taking the reins of a company that van Vianen turned around in dramatic fashion, posting a 24 percent earnings increase in the first nine months of 2010.

It's certainly not the end of the road for van Vianen, who serves on the iBasis board and will succeed Eelco Blok as chairman on April 1, 2011. He's been with KPN for several years in a variety of executive positions.

Offerhaus has more than 20 years of ICT management and sales experience, including stints at Orange Business Services and Equant Netherlands.
