PAETEC capitalizes on Bay Area growth with new San Francisco office

PAETEC (Nasdaq: PAET) sees the potential in California's Bay Area so it's opening a business office in San Francisco that will initially house 10 new employees.

Located on the 19th floor of 100 Spear street downtown, PAETEC's new facility can support up to 30 employees and can be used to target area businesses with its services.

Already well-established in the West with offices in Walnut Creek and in Sacramento via its acquisition of Quagga Corp., Reginald Scales, president of PAETEC's west region, said "this new office in San Francisco and plans for an office in San Jose, the Bay Area has become a significant base of operations in the West."

Timing to expand its presence in the West is spot on as major are cable operators like Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) continue to up their SMB and enterprise services in the regions PAETEC is targeting.
