Pew: 10% of American adults use smartphone as their sole broadband connection

Wireless smartphones and wireless connectivity overall may not have the same robust speed as a dedicated wireline connection, but increasingly more American adults are using wireless phones as their broadband connection, reveals a new survey from Pew Research. Among the findings: 64 percent of American adults now have a smartphone, up from 35 percent in the spring of 2011.
