Reliance Globalcom jumps aboard CENX's Ethernet exchange train

By joining CENX's Ethernet exchange, Reliance Globalcom believes it can not only expand Ethernet service to customers located outside of its network footprint, but also be more responsive to their connectivity needs when they cross multiple service provider borders.

Having its Global VPLS solution connected with CENX's Ethernet exchange means that Reliance Globalcom and its service provider partners will be able to expand its domestic and international revenue opportunities.

Through its initial connection at CENX's Los Angeles exchange, Reliance Globalcom will be able to interconnect with all of the service providers and customers resident at that location.

"Our partnership with CENX will provide significant cost and time saving benefits, while connecting us to more than 15 million ESLs (Ethernet Service Locations) worldwide, and help us to meet the rapidly growing need for flexible, high performing Ethernet solutions," said Ted Raffetto, President, Americas Region, Reliance Globalcom in a release. "Not only can we now offer end-to-end Ethernet services to customers located beyond our existing footprint, we are also able to respond to their needs in a more scalable and efficient manner, eliminating business challenges tied to connecting with multiple providers across borders."
