Retransmission-related blackouts jumped to 193 in 2015, WSJ says

Negotiations between pay-TV providers and content owners for retransmission rights have always been tense, but in 2015 the issue became even more acute.

According to a Wall Street Journal  report, the amount of blackouts related to stalled broadcast retransmission negotiations spiked to an all-time high of 193 in 2015.
