Ringgold chief talks about IPTV experience

Vitals: This telco was founded in Ringgold, Ga., in 1912. Much more recently, it was one of the first telcos in the U.S. to adopt IPTV service.

Why you should care: Ringgold executive vice president Phil Erli, speaking at this week's National Association of Broadcasters trade show in Las Vegas, said telcos should be careful not to heap too many profit expectations on IPTV. It is better to view it as a bundle element, he said, as the service will take a long time to mature.
