SPOTLIGHT: Private line services to hit $40.6B in '08

INSIGHT Research predicts spending on private line services will hit $40.6 billion this year, posting solid growth for the third straight year.  According to the company's "Private Line and Wavelength Services, 2008-2013" report, continued growth will come as a result of strong demand for private lines used to back-haul 3G wireless services, increased demand for local bandwidth needed to cache IPTV video services, and the quickening pace of adoption of VoIP by large enterprises that are using private lines to link hosted and dedicated VoIP PBX solutions.
