Surewest eyeing M&A

Surewest Communications, the little company in Roseville, Calif., whose pioneering ways with telco TV put it on the map, is looking to expand. But, unlike some regional telcos who might look to grow contiguously, Surewest is looking beyond its Sacramento area home base for other teclo operations that are making the same video commitment it made early on. This ambition comes to the forefront just as Surewest reported it continued to lose access lines during the third-quarter.
