AT&T asks customers to adopt paperless billing

Tools

AT&T is asking its customer base to help it reach the goal of converting a million accounts to paperless billing through its PayItGreen initiative.

To show its seriousness about its PayItGreen paperless billing initiative, AT&T has launched a promotion with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree for every customer that opts for paperless billing.

The telecom giant estimates that if one million customers converted to paperless billing, it could help save 400,000 pounds of paper and avert up to six million pounds of greenhouse gases. What's more, AT&T says that the paperless goal would also prevent four million gallons of waste water from being discharged into waterways annually.

want to go paperless for my uverse billing

Well hes a piece of something! And here in Texas its the same story. The managers are nothing more that secretaries with keys. Then they've got managers who's sole job it is to read spread sheets that calculate how much time we spend on every little detail about our job! I think Stephenson was the type of guy in school who had his head dunked in the toilet or got locked in his locker, and now he wants to show everyone how much of a tough guy he is! He will ruin this company, hes well on his way!

Yes, Randall is a piece of work isn't he? He recently sent California employees a survey asking what we thought of management and customer service. I was laughing out loud.
Management cannot do their job anymore. They rely on the computer programs to do their job. All the slackers already have it figured out though. It's so pathetic!

While what everyone has said so far has a great deal of merit I think you are all wrong. It was recently announced that our fearless leader has accepted his bonus of 5.2 million dollars. If i remember correctly it was only last year when that piece of Oklahoma trash was lamenting the fact that in this deep recession he wasnt taking a bonus because of all of the layoffs. Now weve had back to back surplusses and here he is taking his bonus! The question that needs to be asked here is was the bonus for making us pay for our health care or for the surplusses?

Hire more managers to micromanage union employees ! Micromanagement is the way in AT&T land--New Jersey. Aux out for potty breaks, you aux out for lunch, aux out for meetings and aux out for this or that.....what about aux out for gin and tonic?

Why not use some of the savings for us that want an early retirement package and get out of Dodge ? We have put in our 20 or more years and want OUT.....OUT=VTP !

They will not pass any savings along to the consumer. They will lay off the employees currently doing the work. Without a paper bill it will also make it more difficult to catch them adding those hidden costs they love to add to their customers bills

Soon the employees will be paperless too. I called priority repair to fix a printer in a Los Angeles central office and the rep in Florida didn't know how to make a ticket for it for dispatch!
That means I'll soon be writing the circuits by hand just like the 60's frame techs! Real state of the art company!

paperless billing is going to save them a fortune. are they passing the savings along to the customers?

to try to make us believe they are doing this to be green is a bald faced lie. don't get me wrong, it's good for the environment and is a great idea but how about reducing my bill the cost of producing the bill if it goes away?!

yeah, they want you to go to paperless billing but then they will continue to waste paper sending you advertisements and promotional material that gets immediately thrown in the bin. CC companies are the worst.
