Tata to build Mid East optical submarine cable jointly

Tata continues to make a name for itself in the submarine cabling market and its latest venture to help build a submarine cable system into the Middle East is another proof point of that drive. The service provider has entered into various agreements with a number of Mid-East service providers to build a new cable system into the Gulf that will connect the region to a number of global business hubs and city centers via Tata's Global Network (TGN).

Participating as the exclusive landing party for the TGN Gulf Cable System in their own regions are Bahrain Internet Exchange in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Nawras of Oman, Qatar Telecom of Qatar, Mobily of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Etisalat of the United Arab Emirates. After the network is built, the TGN cable system will incorporate other value added services for local and global enterprise customers that have holdings in the Mid-East telecom market.
