Tech exec Beal leaves BT

Tools

Matt Beal, who was a member of the office of the CTO at BT and had become a key player in the carrier's 21st Century Network project, has left the company, according to a post at Light Reading Europe. Beal also reportedly was a backer of provider backbone transport technology, which BT supported early on, but more recently pushed onto the back burner. Beal apparently left BT a number of weeks ago.

This report comes after the departures of other key BT executives, include Ben Verwaayen, Paul Reynolds, and Andy Green, stretching back to last fall.
