TelePacific wraps up integration of TelWest, plans further Texas expansion

TelePacific has completed the integration of TelWest, a Texas-based provider that it purchased in 2011 that immediately gave the CLEC a presence in the Texas business services market and access to over 3,400 business customers.

Purchasing TelWest in 2011 was the beginning of a new chapter for TelePacific, since for much of its life it had delivered services in California and Nevada.

The CLEC expanded its offices in Richardson and Corpus Christi, a move which will be followed by those it has in Austin and Houston. In the next three months, TelePacific will open new offices in Fort Worth and San Antonio.

Next week it will bring its entire product line to Texas, including its 220 Mbps Ethernet over Copper (EoC) data option, SIP trunking and SmartVoice services.

TelePacific sees its move into Texas as part of a long-term strategy where it wants to build brand equity with existing and new customers by applying the same customer service approach it implemented in its California and Nevada markets.

Dick Jakult, CEO and President of TelePacific, will also continue to review every customer-impacting event that emerges in Texas during weekly all-day calls with its management team.
