tw telecom extends fiber, Ethernet connectivity to Minneapolis-St.Paul, Phoenix

tw telecom, which is in the process of being purchased by Level 3, has added Minneapolis-St.Paul and Phoenix as the two latest stops on its ongoing network expansion effort.

In Minneapolis, the competitive provider is expanding its existing footprint with service into St. Paul and growing business communities in the western suburbs, as well as the northern metro areas including Anoka County and south and east through Washington County including the St. Croix Valley.

Already, the service provider serves a number of Minneapolis-based business customers including Boston Scientific, Protolabs and Home Furniture. The network expansion will also connect tw telecom services directly to data center customers in the western suburbs.

Over in Phoenix, the service provider's expansion now extends its network capabilities from Phoenix east into Mesa, as well as west into Glendale.

The Minneapolis - St. Paul and Phoenix expansions are part of a national multi-market effort by the company to expand its metro fiber footprint across the United States.

As part of this process, tw telecom has entered into five new, high-demand markets--Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Richmond, Va. and Salt Lake City--and is accelerating the density of its metro-fiber footprint in over a third of its existing markets.
