Verizon says it'll raise FiOS prices again

Tools

Verizon's FiOS users can expect to pay a little more, the company said during its earnings call yesterday. FiOS broadband has seen steady price increases for customers who don't sign up for long-term contracts or who decline to add additionally services. The Associated Press said Verizon FiOS customers currently pay an average $129 per month for the service; Verizon added 263,000 customers in the first quarter, bringing its overall FiOS total to 1.2 million.

"You may recall we increased prices for selected products in the first quarter last year," said CFO Doreen Toben while discussing FiOS. "We anticipate increasing prices once again in certain products and bundles in the second quarter this year."
