Vonage legal chief departs after busy year

Vonage chief legal officer and executive vice president Sharon O'Leary is leaving the company at the end of the first quarter, after having led the VoIP service provider through several patent lawsuits, all of which resulted in settlements. She has been with Vonage for only about two and a half years, but certainly was busy. Vonage also announced it was naming Mike Sears the senior vice president of global service delivery operations. The service provider's legal trouble may be over, and the area Sears will lead is where its focus needs to be now--on making customers happy and making sure Vonage can successfully expand globally.
