YipTV's Tribolet doesn't anticipate its customers will cut the video cord

Mike TriboletYipTV's CEO Michael Tribolet says that he does not think that its customer base is going to cut the traditional pay-TV cord. Unlike traditional pay-TV customers, the majority of its target customers don't have bank or credit card accounts.

In an interview with Sam Bookman, editor of FierceOnlineVideo, Tribolet said that the SVOD service, launched by several former Vonage employees, is providing its customers a "first-tier" platform that includes sports, entertainment and travel content that's important to them.
