Zayo adds more locations to its Dallas fiber network

Zayo is taking out its fiber network expansion shovel in the Dallas, Texas metro by adding five major carrier hotel and data center facilities onto their network and extending its footprint to eight new Local Switching Offices (LSOs).

On the data center side, Zayo will be able to support both dark or lit fiber network connectivity to both its enterprise and carrier customers in five new locations including: 2323 Bryan Street; 2020 Live Oak Street; 1950 Stemmons Freeway; 4316 Bryan Street; and 400 South Akard Street in Dallas.

With the addition of eight new Local Switching Offices (LSOs) in the Dallas metro, Zayo will now have 84 total route miles in the Dallas metro area.

Following similar network expansions late last year in Memphis, Minnesota and Northern Mississippi, the latest network expansion in Dallas, which comes through its still relatively new unit Zayo Fiber Solutions, is part of an ongoing effort by Zayo to continually expand its network in key markets where there are multiple wholesale and enterprise opportunities.
