Integra Telecom addresses 911 needs with inetwork

Integra Telecom has chosen inetwork to support its 911 and SMS requirements related to its nationwide VoIP service expansion effort.

In October, the CLEC introduced a Hosted Voice Service solution, providing fully managed and integrated voice, data and equipment for any size business.

This platform will help Integra, which has made an effort to target larger multi-site businesses, track the thousands of phone records of its customers.

While Integra could have built out a 911 system itself or worked with another provider, by partnering with inetwork it actually had its system up in running in 20 minutes. Integra will gain new efficiencies in configuration and provisioning because inetwork's portal is directly integrated into the CLEC's Metaswitch softswitch platform.

Besides nomadic 911, inetwork will offer Integra Voice Origination and Termination, Toll Free Origination, SMS services and static 911 services.

A big part of this deal for Integra is all about time to market and being able to rapidly respond to multi-site customer requests, and this agreement with inetwork takes the 911 obstacle out of the way. Unlike other solutions that require complex integration, Integra can quickly meet 911 requirements as it expands its services in new and existing markets.
