Cambium Networks introduces cloud-managed 802.11ac Wi-Fi solution

Cambium Networks has announced cnPilot, a suite of 802.11ac Wi-Fi products for use in home and business networks. The products are slated to begin shipping in mid-September.

There are four products in the portfolio, including cnPilot Home and Small Business, which provides 802.11ac and 802.11n access points. There is also an enterprise-grade dual-band access point, the cnPilot Indoor Gigabit 802.11ac. And there is a weatherproof version, the cnPilot Outdoor 802.11ac dual band access point. Finally, Cambium has introduced the eMPM Hotspot Single Band unit, which operates in the 802.11n band.

Cambium Networks is trying to differentiate the products via cnMaestro, a software solution that provides cloud management for the products. The company said that cnMaestro provides simplified deployment by handling network planning, inventory management, daily operation and network maintenance. The software solution also has Wi-Fi controller features that provide analytics and insight into the access points and client devices. Release
