Charles Industries offers flexible enclosures

A larger-capacity enclosure is now available on Charles Industries' CFIT-Flex line. The new Standard enclosure offers capacity for up to 72 fiber drops, triple the Compact enclosure's 24-port offering.

The company said its "CFIT-Flex are especially efficient at meeting FTTX deployment challenges regardless of splicing technique, fiber type or the use of pre-connectorized cable" due to interchangeable drop cable port plates and small hinged fiber splice trays.

Charles Industries says the enclosures are optimal for a host of different multi-user situations, with the Standard specifically optimal for fiber distribution in mid- and high-rise dwellings. The manufacturer also emphasized the line's adaptability for multiple mounting options, including pole, strand and pedestal mounts, which allow easy access for technicians and minimize disturbances to existing connections. Release
