Hitron debuts DOCSIS 3.0 modem with gigabit speeds

Hitron Technologies introduced the Gigabit Capable Modem (model CDA3-35), a DOCSIS 3.0 32x8 channel bonding modem that the company said can deliver speeds of up to 1 Gbps via 32 bonded channels. GCI and Suddenlink will be the first cable companies to deploy the CDA3-35.

Once connected, the CDA3-35 client automatically retrieves the IP address and configuration data from the network. Hitron stated that a browser-based utility allows for viewing of network statistics and there are provisions for remote control over the device. Release
