RFS debuts triple-band LTE base station antenna

Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) introduced a new multi-band LTE antenna portfolio, called the RF X-TREME, that it said supports a frequency range of 694-960 MHz and 1695-2690 MHz. The company said the base station antenna portfolio offers full-band coverage on every port, enabling operators to implement 4xRx and 4xMIMO on any of the higher frequency bands for strong cell-edge performance with 30 percent fewer base stations. In addition, the company said the multi-band RF X-TREME platform makes it ideal for adding capacity and coverage to existing sites as well as for new sites because it allows operators to support additional frequency bands in the future without replacing the antenna.

The RF X-TREME portfolio includes a cross-polarized penta-band antenna for 694-2690 MHz frequencies and two quad-band XXXXpol antennas for 790-2690 MHz frequencies. Release
