In this current role, Massimo Candela is one of the key contributors to the automation and monitoring of the Global IP Network AS2914, the Tier 1 global IP backbone of NTT Ltd. As a member of the Systems, Applications, and Software team in the Global IP Network, he is focused on tools for collecting, analyzing, and representing large amount of network data to guide decisions, and facilitate and automate day-to-day Internet operations.

In the last decade, Massimo has also developed numerous open-source tools, which are the go-to resources for network operators to monitor certain aspects of the Internet performance. He is a frequent speaker at industry and networking events, such as RIPE, NANOG, LACNIC, and many others.
