ADTRAN
ADTRAN reported that revenues were $176 million, up year-over-year from $162 million in the second quarter of 2013 due to an uptick in broadband and carrier sales, particularly in the international arena.

Verizon's FiOS results bounced back in the second quarter, with revenues rising 14.4 percent year-over-year to $3.1 billion due to an uptick in both broadband and video subscriptions.

Juniper Networks reported that a new wave of service provider spending drove up the vendor's second-quarter 2014 revenue 7 percent year-over-year to $1.23 billion, up from $1.2 billion in the same period a year ago.

AT&T (NYSE: T)
AT&T's U-verse continues to be the darling of the telco's wireline portfolio, helping to offset lower revenue from legacy voice and data products and increase residential customer revenues 3 percent to $5.7 billion.

Infinera continues to benefit from sales of its next-gen DTN-X platform as second-quarter 2014 earnings jumped sequentially and year-over-year to $165.4 million from $142.8 million in the first quarter of 2014 and $138.4 million in the second quarter of 2013.

ADVA Optical Networking reported that Q2 2014 revenues rose to $117 million, up 11.2 year-over-year from $105.4 million and 11.6 percent sequentially from $105 million in Q1 2014 due to an increase in enterprise sales.

Calix 
Calix bounced back from a slow first quarter, reporting that second-quarter 2014 revenue was $98 million, up 3.8 percent year-over-year from $94.4 million and up sequentially from $85.8 million in the first quarter of 2014. The company attributes the revenue increase to a host of new domestic and international customer sales.

Hawaiian Telcom's second-quarter story was once again dominated by its consumer segment, where the telco reported that revenue was $36.3 million, up 4.3 percent year-over-year due to revenue growth from its TV and high-speed Internet (HSI) services.
