360networks brings SPI T1 service to 758 additional wire centers

360networks, a facilities-based wholesale provider, is bringing its Single Point of Interconnection (SPI) T1 service to 758 new wire centers.

This new expansion effort will bring the SPI service to cities in six states, including California (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento and Stockton); Iowa (Sioux City); Nebraska (Omaha); Minnesota (Duluth and Rochester); North Dakota (Fargo); and South Dakota (Rapid City).

In total, 360networks' SPI service covers 2,194 wire centers in over 30 Tier 1 to 4 markets within 19 states.

Designed to support lower speed, SPI provides customers with Clear Channel T1s/DS3 from an end-users LEC demarcation point to support IP Transit or Local Access applications. Because SPI provides a single interconnection, the value is that it can eliminate the need for duplicative T1 circuits to reach multiple markets via 360networks' 18,000 mile fiber backbone.
