Alca-Lu adds capacity, DPI to router family

Alcatel-Lucent announced that it has boosted the capacity of its 7750 Services Router and 7450 Ethernet Services Switch, and also integrated deep packet inspection technology into the router products. This is the first major upgrade the routers have had since 2003, and the addition of new capacity and capabilities follows similar upgrades by Cisco Systems and Juniper Networks.
